Tip: On a smooth surface, or if the board slides back when the ball hits it, put a sandbag behind the board to hold it in place.

• Two legs, locked by two levers. Open the legs and the levers will lock in the upward position. To pack up, press both levers on each side down at the same time and the legs release and close against the back of the board, so it stores and carries as one flat panel, or stacked flat with other boards.
• Upright or upside down. Stood upright the face is vertical and the ball comes back low. Turned upside down the face leans back and the ball comes back upwards, and the harder it is played, the higher it returns.
• 100 cm wide, 40 cm high and 20 mm thick, moulded in HDPE, with two hand slots in the top edge for carrying. It weighs 10 kg, so it is a solid panel rather than a lightweight one.
• Stands on turf and hard floors. Our photos show it on artificial turf and on an indoor court. It is heavy enough to stay fairly in place when the ball hits it, with no pegs or weights.
• A predictable return. The face is flat, so where the ball comes back depends only on how it was played. That makes it the board for repetition: pass, receive, pass again from the same spot, and any error in the return is the player's.

Which board to choose

This is the flat one. Use it for passing and first touch work where the return should be true, and for solo practice against a fixed target. The dimpled board is the same 100 x 40 cm, but its rows of domes send the ball back at an angle set by the point of contact, so the player reacts to each return and moves to receive it, which makes it the board for reaction work. Both fold flat, both have hand slots and both store in the same horizontal stack, so the two can stand side by side and be swapped in the same drill: one board gives the clean return, the other the surprise.

Does the rebound board need assembly?

No. It arrives assembled. Open the two legs on the back, push the two levers into the upward position and the legs are locked. To fold it again, press both levers down at the same time and the legs release and close against the board. The whole process takes a few seconds and needs no tools, so the board can be set up and packed away at every session.

What are the two positions for?

They give two return angles from the same board. Stood upright the face is vertical and the ball comes back low, for passing and first touch along the ground.
